Settling the Score
The Goal:
Two words: score points. The team with the most points wins - no surprise there. So, how do you get points?
First, you can capture another team's base. A base is located on each of the three different levels. The base target is where the flashing LED lights are. To capture the base - fire at the target. You'll hear a siren go off. Keep firing until you see the strobe light. That's your cue that the base is yours. Capturing a base earns you and your team 2000 points. But it's a one shot deal. Once you've deactivated a base you can't capture it again, but your teammates can.
Second, you can tag players. Tagging an opponent earns you points based on where you tag them: 200 points for the chest, 100 for the back, and 50 for the shoulders or the laser. When you're tagged, your vest vibrates, flashes white, then goes dark for about 10 seconds. During that 10 seconds you can't tag or BE tagged by anyone else. But after that 10 seconds - go for it! You can tag the same player more than once.
Finally, there's sentinels. It's like a base, but can be deactivated over and over again. Deactivating a sentinel earns you 1000 points. But it's not easy to do. Game masters will let you know where sentinels are located. You aim for the target, but if you fail to deactivate the sentinel, it fires back and you lose 125 points.
Some Scoring Hints:
- Get both of the opposing teams bases every game.
- Play as a team.
- Don't wait for players to come to you... seek them out.
- Keep moving.
- Keep firing.
- Stay where the action is... your hit gives you full points credit.
